Registering with Foreign Affairs

Did you know that many countries allow travellers to register with the Foreign Affairs office (or national equivalent) for added peace of mind while you travel?

Many of the programs include the following types of benefits:

Receive the latest safety and security information for your destination country, helping you make informed decisions about your travel plans.
Allows your nation’s embassy to contact you in an emergency situation, whether natural disaster, civil unrest, or family emergency.
Allows family and friends to get in touch with you in an emergency situation.
We would encourage all volunteers to take this step for additional protection and peace of mind while away.
